Some days everything falls into place. Your clients say the right things, your adversary says the wrong thing, everyone stays in their lane. The only whispers you hear is the wind in the trees, the only coldness you feel is the kiss of Jack Frost on your nose. For those kind of days, the Drink du Nuit has to be the cherry on top. So I present to you, for your imbibing pleasure the Drink du Nuit: The Chocolate Cherry
DRINK DU NUIT: CHOCOLATE CHERRY
INGREDIENTS:
6 fresh or frozen dark sweet cherries, pitted and halved
1 1/2 oz cherry-infused whiskey
1 (tsp) teaspoon cocoa or chocolate coffee syrup
1/2 (tsp) teaspoon vanilla extract
GLASSWARE: 10 -12 oz Old Fashioned Glass or Coupe
INSTRUCTIONS:
Muddle cherries, cocoa or syrup, and vanilla with a fork. Slowly blend in the whiskey. Add ice.
BARTENDER TIP:
To elevate this cocktail, consider infusing an already flavored whiskey. (Honey flavored whiskey like Jack Daniel’s Honey Jack or cherry flavored like Jim Bean Red Stag can be elevated to a whole new level if you infuse them to create honey vanilla or cherry ginger). I also prefer to make my own infusions so I can control for taste and its super simple.
